Communities in Bloom Best Garden Selection Contest 2021

Friend Community with CiB BC

As a Friend Community partner with Communities in Bloom (CiB), we entered a contest, sponsored by Scotts Miracle-Gro, and were selected as 1 out of 40 communities Canada-wide to showcase 12 of our most beautiful gardens in Lake Errock.

Sharing Community Pride

Our community is enjoyed for it’s natural beauty and wonderfully friendly neighbours. This contest allows us to hi-light some of the gardens that add extra beauty, quality and value to our area.

Between June 15 and 25th

Over the next two weeks in June, 12 gardens will be awarded a package which includes a congratulatory letter, a sign with the name of the sponsor of the contest, Scotts Miracle-Gro; the host with which we have a Friend Community membership, Communities in Bloom (CiB); and the logo “A Little Slice of Paradise” Lake Errock, B.C.

Plus, as a gesture of thanks for a photo of your beautiful garden which will be posted on the CiB Website as well as Scotts Miracle-Gro Facebook Page, the selected gardener also receive a Coupon for a Free Bag of Nature’s Care Organic Soil and Nature’s Care Plant Food (to a maximum of $30.00).

There is still time

Perhaps you have a secret garden hidden behind your tall hedge and would like to be considered, or even suggest a neighbour. If so, let myself or one of the other LECA Board members know on or before June 25th.

GoodLuck, and happy Gardening.

Joyce and the rest of the Lake Errock Community Association (LECA) Board.

Have Your Say in Our Community Re: Rezoning Application

Have Your Say in Our Community Re: Rezoning Application

Hello Neighbours,

You may have noticed this sign as you enter our community regarding the proposed amendment to our Official Community Plan (OCP) alongside a Rezoning Application of a residential lot on Bayview Rd within Lake Errock.

We’ve gathered some more information about the application, and how it will affect our community for you to share, discuss, and most importantly, reach out to our local governments to have your voices heard on whether you support this amendment. Your participation directly affects the development of our community.

You can review a full history of the application from the FVRD , though below are some highlights that you may find interesting. We will add more documents below as they become available.

Please contact each of the following Area Directors to have your voices heard. As with all levels of governments, silence from a community is considered support of an application as outlined within the FVRD document above detailing a similar application in Electoral Area F.
